imageNestled between the Catskill, Pocono and Endless Mountain regions of beautiful northeastern Pennsylvania, Finca Alta Vista is a bit off the beaten path. We're glad you found us!

The farmers who built the stone walls that surround these high mountain fields probably never imagined the alpacas that peacefully graze here today. In honor of their tradition as stewards of this pastoral countryside, we are developing Finca Alta Vista as an earth-friendly, sustainable farm . . . a peaceful and natural home for our colorful alpaca herd.

imageMaybe you are thinking about becoming an alpaca farmer too. Maybe you already own alpacas and want to add quality new members to your herd. Maybe you are just curious about what these fuzzy creatures are all about . . .

Whatever your situation, we invite you to spend some time here and discover the beauty of these amazing animals and the special way we care for them and our customers. When you are ready to get a closer look, we hope you will plan a visit.

At Long Last a Sister for Starbuck

09-12-2009

We’ve waited nearly six years for Starbuck’s dam, Cosita Mia, to give us a female cria.  “Danza” arrived September 12 and we re-checked several times just to make sure we didn’t have Starbuck brother number five!  Danza is already showing early signs that she may out-do her big brothers in the showring.

Stella by Starbuck

Starbuck’s latest “criation” arrived Saturday morning without much ado.  “Stella” is a beautiful fawn girl with soft, crimpy fiber from head to toe.  Both Mom Chincocha and baby are doing great.
